Members of the Lebanese Volleyball Federation’s administrative committee, along with presidents and representatives of the six clubs qualified for the Final 6 round of the “XXL Men’s First Division” championship, accepted an invitation from Federation President Walid Al-Qasouf for a dinner on Monday evening, just days before the resumption of the 2025-2026 season.
During the event, Al-Qasouf delivered a speech, stating: “Dear colleagues, members of the federation, respected club presidents and representatives, esteemed attendees and committee heads, we gather today with a spirit full of determination and hope to announce the restart of the Lebanese Volleyball Federation’s championships after the difficult period our nation endured due to the war, which affected various sports and humanitarian sectors. Yet, as always, sport remains a message of life, unity, and resilience, and volleyball continues to be a space that brings Lebanese together through love and fair competition.”
He added: “The return of the championships today is not merely a resumption of matches, but a confirmation of the Lebanese sports family’s will to live and the commitment of clubs, players, and administrators to continue the journey despite all challenges. We affirm here that the Lebanese Volleyball Federation has been and will remain the unifying parent of all clubs, treating everyone equally with a sense of responsibility and care for the interest of the game first and foremost. From this standpoint, decisions regarding the completion of the sports season were made based on the current circumstances Lebanon has faced, after careful study of all data, with the consensus of the federation’s executive committee and the full understanding and satisfaction of all participating clubs, ensuring the legitimacy of these decisions and the federation’s commitment to transparency and consensus in everything that serves Lebanese volleyball.”
