According to CCTV News, the Chinese women’s table tennis team secured a commanding 3-0 victory over South Korea in the quarterfinals of the 2026 London World Table Tennis Championships on May 7, advancing to the semifinals.
China fielded Wang Manyu, Sun Yingsha, and Wang Yidi for the match. In the opening rubber, Wang Manyu dominated Shin Yubin with a straight-set win of 11-1, 11-4, and 11-4, giving China a 1-0 lead. 
The second match saw Sun Yingsha battle Kim Nayeong, ultimately prevailing 3-2 with scores of 11-7, 7-11, 7-11, 11-4, and 11-9, pushing the team ahead 2-0. 
In the third rubber, Wang Yidi defeated Park Gahyeon 3-1 (11-5, 11-3, 10-12, 11-2) to seal the overall victory. With this clean sweep, the Chinese women’s team booked their spot in the final four of the prestigious tournament.
